Xtra Time Web Desk: “We Have We Will” will be the new slogan for the Pakistan cricket team for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup starting from May 30 in England. The Pakistan Cricket Board has set this slogan for its players throughout their campaign in the forthcoming World Cup.
Slogans related to any sports team for any major event is nothing new. Famous Australian sports pschycologist Sandy Gordon gave the famous slogan “Now or Never” for the India team during the 2003 Cricket World Cup. The Men in Blue went on to reach the finals of the World Cup in South Africa, before losing out to Australia in the final.
The slogan “We Have We Will” has been inspired from the fact that the Pakistan team led by former captain and the current Prime Minister Imran Khan won the World Cup in 1992. Pakistan defeated England in the final played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The idea is to inspire Sarafaraz Ahmed and his team throughout the tournament.
Pakistan will begin their campaign in the World Cup against West Indies at Trentbridge on May 31.
