Internet Desk: Italian superstar Mario Balotelli’s “super agent” Mino Raiola has threatened his controversial client Mario Balotelli that he would cut his tongue out if he continues to quarrel with the referee and gets another red card.

Balotelli got marching orders the for his club Nice in the last game as well as they beat Lorient 1-0 in Ligue 1 at the weekend. His got sent off for showing dissent at referee Tony Chapron in the 68th minute left his side to nervously hold on to the three points.

But his famously outspoken agent Mino Raiola has come up with an idea to prevent any further red cards for Balotelli.

Raiola joked to RMC: ‘I have already found the solution – we’re going to cut his tongue out.

‘To play football, you don’t need a tongue, so we’re going to cut it out.

‘Seriously though, he knows he made a big mistake – he has no excuses. It’s something he knows he has to improve. He’s sad for himself and the team.’

The sending off was Balotelli’s third of the campaign already, though one (also against Lorient back in August) was later rescinded.

Referee Chapron informed reporters that Balotelli had ‘insulted me in English – I won’t say more but it was something classical.’

Despite his impressive goalscoring record this season of 11 strikes in 19 games in all competitions, Balotelli has been informed he needs to change to work his way back into the Italy squad.

Italy boss Giampiero Ventura said of the former Liverpool and Manchester City striker: ‘Up until now I haven’t seen positive signs.

‘There’s no disputing his talent, but the rest – the facts suggest that Balotelli needs to make changes.’
