‘I am gutted’: Jasprit Bumrah tweets emotional message after missing T20 World Cup due to injury

Xtra Time Web Desk: Jasprit Bumrah on Tuesday shared an emotional message on Twitter after being ruled out of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 due to a back injury. Bumrah tweeted, “I am gutted that I won’t be a part of the T20 World Cup this time, but thankful for the wishes, care and support I’ve received from my loved ones. As I recover, I’ll be cheering on the team through their campaign in Australia

Bumrah was officially ruled out of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022 on Monday. The Indian pace spearhead complained about a back pain in Trivandrum and was immediately rushed to National Cricket Academy. Scan reports revealed he had a stress related problem with his back that will require at least 4-6 weeks to recover.

Meanwhile, BCCI is yet announce the replacement for Bumrah. Mohammad Shami, one of the four standbys, should have been the straightforward candidate to replace Bumrah. But there are still concerns about Shami’s fitness and hence selectors are now also mulling over the name of Mohammed Siraj.
