XtraTime Web Desk – After a end to end match, the contest between SC East Bengal and Hyderabad FC ended on level terms. The former of which once again faced the bad side of the referee as the red and gold brigade was denied of a penalty that could’ve secured all three points for the club.

It was a pacey out and out match from both the teams. Hyderabad had the upper hand because of the chances they created. Subrata Paul was having a good day out in the park. His save in the 21st minute denied Hyderabad FC from a clear goal scoring opportunity. Chianese missed the 1v1 opportunity but it was Subrata who deserves a lot of credit to pull off a save like that.

Moments later, Kattimani stepped up and pulled off a brilliant save proving that he’s also a force to reckon with. Pilkington’s powerful shot was kept out by Kattimani denying SC East Bengal from taking the lead.

Things changed in the second half, specially in the 58th minute. Hyderabad was attacking and their shot hit the post and what happened post that was absolutely magic from SC East Bengal. They countered and just in a matter of seconds Bright Enobakhare was running and there was no one to catch him. He beat everyone with his pace and skill and finished calmly as SC East Bengal took the lead in the 59th minute against the run of play.

Hyderabad increased their force but they weren’t not able to find any gap in the middle as SC East Bengal closed them down pretty well and the times they broke the defence, it was Subrata Paul who was in top notch form. Akash Mishra’s long range effort was denied by the Bengali lad and nothing was working for Hyderabad FC.

The controversy began in the 82nd minute when Bright Enobakhare was brought down in the penalty box by Kattimani but referee didn’t blow his whistle for the penalty. SC East Bengal staff was furious with the decision but that’s that. SC East Bengal was once again suffered from poor referring and their suffering doubled when Aridane brought Hyderabad level in the 91st minute. A low cross was tapped in by Aridane to score.

In the 96th minute, Mohammed Yasir was shown a straight red after he made a horrible tackle just outside the box. Maghoma failed to convert it as the referee blew for the final whistle. With that, Hyderabad are now 3rd in the table with 24 points from 17 games while SC East Bengal are 9th in the table with 17 points from 17 games.
