Hyderabad relegated to Plate Group after nine-wicket loss against Delhi; Md Azharuddin trolled on social media | Ranji Trophy 2023

Xtra Time Web Desk: Two-time former Ranji Trophy champions Hyderabad were relegated to plate group in Ranji Trophy after suffering a humiliating nine-wicket defeat at the hands of Delhi at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on Friday. It was the sixth straight defeat for the home side, finishing the league stage with just one point. The result saw Hyderabad getting relegated to the Plate Group of the championship. This was one of the worst performances by the Hyderabad which has produced some great Indian cricketers like Mohammed Azharuddin and VVS Laxman. Delhi pacer Harshit Rana was the wrecker in chief as he knocked off seven opposition wickets, giving away just 45 runs. Rana was playing in his fifth match. Hyderabad lasted just 6.4 overs as they were bowled out for 124 runs, taking a slender lead of 46 runs. Delhi chased the target losing just one wicket. Yash Dhull was out to Hyderabad pacer Kartikeyak Kak after he mistimed a pull shot.
