How can India still qualify for final in Asia Cup 2022?

Xtra Time Web Desk: India is in big trouble after their 2 consecutive losses in the super 4 stage of the Asia Cup 2022. They will play their 3rd game against Afghanistan on Thursday. India is almost on the verge of elimination, still the men in blue have the last hope left which is totally dependent upon Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

For qualifying in the Asia Cup Final, India needs to win their last game against Afghanistan on a bigger margin. On the other hand Sri Lanka who is already the table topper, needs to beat Pakistan on a bigger margin. Afghanistan also needs to defeat Pakistan by a big margin to keep India’s chances higher in the tournament. If Pakistan wins even 1 of their 2 games, then India will depart from the tournament.

Afghanistan who has already lost their first match against Sri Lanka in Super 4 stage will definitely go for a bigger win against India as well as Pakistan. With Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Mohammad Nabi and Fazalhaq Farooqi, Afghanistan have a strong bowling attack.

India’s present bowling condition and with no alternative bowling option, is in the big trouble. As per the BCCI confirmation, Avesh Khan has been ruled out of the tournament due to severe illness. Deepak Chahar is included in the main squad. He might get a chance in the team against Afghanistan. Axar Patel can also get a chance in the playing XI.

India will play their next game against Afghanistan on Thursday, 8th September.
