History Repeats itself

Xtra Time Web Desk: Australian weather department is predicting that there is a high chance of rain during the ICC T20  World Cup Final. Even if there is a reserve day for the final but that too could be washed out by rain. This is reminding us of an incident which took place during the ICC Champions Trophy(2002). India and Srilanka shared the championship trophy as a joint winner in 2002. The third edition was hosted by England and featured 12 teams. The final between India and Sri Lanka was held in Colombo. Sri Lanka scored 222/7 in 50 overs with the help of fifties from Mahela Jayawardene and Russel Arnold. However, rain disrupted the Indian innings and even after the reserve day, only 8.4 overs of the innings could be completed. Eventually, India and Sri Lanka were declared as joint winners. History repeats itself. Babar Azam could face the same thing which Sourav Ganguly faced in 2002.Though there is a difference Sourav faced it during Champions Trophy but Babar is going to face it in a ICC World Cup.
