Xtra Time Web Desk: Former India opener Aakash Chopra said that while David Warner will be an expensive buy, he won't be made captain by any team in the IPL because of his fallout with SunRisers Hyderabad in the last IPL season.

Chopra said, "They can think about it but in my opinion, they will not make him the captain. I believe David Warner will not become the captain of any team although three teams are probably looking for a skipper. Even if we leave out Punjab, still two teams are looking for a captain."

He further added, "He will definitely go to some team or the other. He will go expensive as well but no team will consider him as a captain, that is what I believe because IPL is a small family, everyone has got an idea what happened last year, what were the reasons and the problems. It hasn't really gone down very well amongst the players and the franchises."

Warner's minimal score of 195 runs in the eight matches last season, was the first time he scored less than 500 runs in a season in six years. However, he said that his dip in form had solely been because he hardly played before the second half of the IPL and he went on to play a leading role in Australia's run to their maiden T20 World Cup title just a month after the end of the season. He was also Australia's second highest run scorer in the Ashes which they won 4-0.
