Xtra Time Web Desk: The BCCI President and a legend of the game himself, Sourav Ganguly is quite impressed with Suryakumar Yadav’s form this season in IPL 2020. But the talented Mumbai Indians’ batsman failed to find favours with the selectors as he was not picked for the upcoming T20I series against Australia. Actually, Suryakumar’s fate reminds us of Sourav Ganguly in 2005 when the left hander despite performing well in domestic circuit struggled to make it into the Indian squad.

Even after being consistent for 2-3 years, Suryakumar Yadav always seems to miss the bus when it comes to his selection for the national team. The selection committee led by Sunil Joshi has preferred to neglect the Mumbai Indians batsman.

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Sourav Ganguly said, “He is a good player, his time will come”. This will definitely boost Suryakumar’s confidence ahead of Mumbai Indians’ first qualifier match against Delhi Capitals.

Sourav Ganguly also mentioned five other cricketers the he’s impressed with this IPL season. Three of such players have played for Kolkata Knight Riders this season. Shubman Gill, Rahul Tripathi and Varun Chakravarty are the Knights that Ganguly is impressed with. The list also includes Devdutt Padikkal of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sanju Samson of Rajasthan Royals.
