“He is a complete package”: Jos Buttler heaps praise on Jasprit Bumrah

Xtra Time Web Desk: England white ball captain Jos Buttler heaped praise on Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah following his match winning performance (6/19) in the first ODI at the Oval. Bumrah produced one of the best bowling figures by an Indian in ODIs on English soil.

Riding on Bumrah’s stupendous bowling, England were bowled out for 110 in 25.2 overs. Heaping loads of praises on Bumrah, Buttler said, “In the T20s and in the powerplay, they bowled brilliantly… [Bumrah] is a great bowler to come up against.”

“He bowled fantastically well today. It’s never easy when you are forced to take wickets… I asked bowlers to take risks to try and take wickets,” he added.

Bumrah dismissed Jason Roy and Joe Root in his very first over to push England on the backfoot right from the word go. Thereafter, he picked up two wickets ( Jonny Bairstow and Liam Livingstone) and finished with four scalps in his opening spell.

Bumrah returned back in his second spell to pick up two more wickets (David Willey and Brydon Carse) and finished with a six-fer.
