“He can continue playing until the time he considers he should”: Kasi Viswanathan on MS Dhoni’s retirement

Xtra Time Web Desk: The big question making rounds is whether MS Dhoni will continue playing in the IPL next season. With a troubled knee, it has been a struggle for Dhoni. The Chennai Super Kings talisman was seen batting with a huge strapping on his knee, putting a big question mark on his fitness.

Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan feels the people all over the country wants to see him and the franchise also hope that he continues to play until such time when he considers he should stop playing.

The veteran administrator who has been with the CSK franchise since the start of IPL in 2008 said they are lucky to have a captain like MS Dhoni since 2008. I consider it to be a great boon for Chennai Super Kings and I am confident that under his captaincy we will do well this season.

On being asked what he expected of the Qualifier 1 against Gujarat Titans on Tuesday at Chepauk, Mr Viswanathan said We expect a good fight between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings as you know they have been the champions last season and has been doing well in the ongoing season as well. CSK has also been playing well. We are hoping that it will be a good game and with MS Dhoni as skipper, we are confident that our team will do well.
