Xtra Time Web Desk: In what comes as a positive news for Indian cricket team, all-rounder Hardik Pandya has resumed batting at the National Cricket Academy. Hardik also spent some time at the gym on Saturday. According to a report in RevSportz, Hardik is likely to start bowling from Tuesday or Wednesday. His swealing in the left ankle has considerably reduced as well.

There were reports that Hardik had a ligament tear but it is only a ligament damage. Hardik has already missed the game against New Zealand in Pune on October 22. He will also miss the game against England on October 29 and is expected to miss the games against Sri Lanka on November 2 and South Africa on November 5 as well.

If his recovery goes well then, he is expected to join the Indian squad in Kolkata although he might not be risked rushing him into the playing XI.

Hardik injured his left ankle while trying to stop the ball in his follow-through during the game against Bangladesh in Pune on October 19. He was in considerable pain and was seen limping off the ground with physio Kamlesh. He was taken to hospital for scans the same day and later came to the ground.

The Men in Blue are currently at the top of the points table, and the only unbeaten side in the tournament, with five wins from as many matches. Rohit and his boys will take on England at the Ekana stadium in Lucknow on October 29.
