Hardik Pandya drops a hint on Twitter; all set to lead India for upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka | INDvsSL

Xtra Time Web Desk: Hardik Pandya is all set to be lead the Indian cricket team for the upcoming three match T20I series against Sri Lanka at home. Rohit Sharma may not be fit for the T20I series against the Lankans and hence Hardik will lead the Indian team.

The promo of the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka does drop a massive hint as who will lead the Men in Blue. Hardik too shared the promo on his official Twitter handle.

The promo has Hardik instead of Rohit as he is still recovering from the thumb injury, he suffered in the recently concluded ODI series against Bangladesh.

Hardik was the captain for the three match T20I series in New Zealand, He led the team to a 1-0 win in the rain affected series. He was given a break for the ODI series against Bangladesh since returning from New Zealand. He is currently training at the NCA in Bengaluru.

According to reports, both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are likely to be rested for the T20I series against Sri Lanka. KL Rahul is likely to be dropped from the T20I squad. Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja too are unlikely to be picked for the T20 series. The duo is still recovering from injury.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka has announced the squads for the series with Dasun Shanaka being named as captain. The three match T20I series kick-start at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai from January 3.
