Chasing 160 runs to win, with still 13 balls to spare, Hardik hit a six off the final ball of the 18th over to seal the victory. This action raised eyebrows as his batting partner, Tilak Varma, needed just one run to achieve his half-century. Pandya faced strong backlash from fans on social media, with many accusing him of selfishness.
But is it not unfair to criticize Hardik as team comes first ahead of personal milestones.
Talking about Tilak, he is having an outstanding debut T20I series against West Indies. Varma has showcased remarkable consistency as a batter. In the last three matches, he recorded scores of 39, 51, and an unbeaten 49, solidifying his position as a dependable batter, regardless of his relatively young age.
