Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar asked to report at NCA during Australia & SA series. Find why?

Xtra Time Web Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India has asked the trio to report to the National Cricket Academy for conditioning during Australia and South Africa series.

BCCI on Monday in a statement said: “Hardik Pandya, Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be reporting to the NCA for conditioning-related work during the course of the home series against Australia and South Africa.”

Arshdeep Singh who is part of the WC squad will miss out on the series against Australia. While Hardik Pandya and Bhuneshwar Kumar will not feature in the series against South Africa.

The decision taken by the BCCI is to manage their workload. Hardik, who we all know has recovered from a career threatening back injury. Ever since he came back from the rehab, he has been performing outstandingly. Arshdeep Singh has also been playing non-stop since IPL 2022 and hence given a break as part of the workload management policy along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Rohit Sharma and his boys will take on Australia in three T20Is on September 20, 23 and 25 respectively. The matches will take place in Mohali, Nagpur and Hyderabad. The series against Australia will be followed by a white ball series against South Africa which will involve three T20Is and three ODIs. The three T20 matches will be played at Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, and Indore on September 28, October 2 and 4 respectively.
