Hardik & ODI specialists to assemble in Mumbai on March 14 for ODI series | INDvsAUS

Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India white ball specialists will assemble in Mumbai on March 14 for the three match ODI series against Australia. All the ODI squad members will have to report to the National Cricket Academy for a fitness camp. The players part of ODI squad will assemble in Mumbai on March 14. Hardik Pankya, who will lead in the first ODI in the absence of Rohit Sharma will also report to the NCA.

Few members of the ODI squad are already at the NCA for the fitness camp. Players like Arshdeep Singh, Deepak Hooda, Umran Malik, Ravi Bishnoi, Yuzuvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar are already in Bengaluru. They also played Holi with each other and posted pics on social media.

Rohit Sharma will be back to lead the team from 2nd ODI in Vishakhapatnam on March 19. Immediately after the ODI series, players will join their respective IPL franchises and the NCA will monitor their fitness.

The first ODI will be played at the Wankhede stadium on March 17 followed by the next two ODIs in Vizag on March 19 and Chennai on March 22.

While the idea was to set limits for some of the pacers and all-rounders, BCCI has taken a step back. Many franchises protested the idea of as conditional NOC. Instead, NCA will monitor their fitness through close association with the franchise medical teams in IPL. This is especially for the Test players who will be in WTC Final.
