Internet Desk: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) was left bewildered and humiliated after the official twitter handle (@IndianFootball) was reported to post tweets taking digs at the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

Later AIFF claimed that its twitter account was hacked and the tweets had been deleted and now the account had been restored. When the Prime Minister was busy advising the cow vigilantes not to engage in violence, two tweets were published at 13:37 which were against the PM.

The first tweet read “Very (pleasantly) surprised to see Modi speak about what’s happening in the country, the violent, vile society that we’re a part of.”

Moments later a second tweet was posted which read like “Now that Mr Modi has said that no one can take the law in his hands, he has to ensure the perpetrators don’t get away with the crimes.”

The tweets were deleted and it was claimed by the AIFF that they had nothing to do regarding the matter and had no intention to humiliate the Prime Minister.

“Someone had hacked the account. The tweets have been deleted,” said AIFF general secretary Kushal Das.
