Rajasthan Royals players have lucky escape; face turbulence in sky on way to Kolkata | Watch video

Xtra Time Web Desk: Rajasthan Royals cricketers had a lucky escape as they faced turbulence on their way to Kolkata to play the IPL 2022 PlayOffs. The RR team was on their way to Kolkata by a chartered flight. The flights faced severe turbulence in the sky and it went on for almost 45 minutes. Gujarat Titans team too faced turbulence on their way.

There were predictions of thunderstorms in and around Kolkata. Gujarat Titans team luckily escaped as they arrived early to Kolkata. Hardik Pandya & co boarded their flight from Mumbai at 2:05pm. They arrived around 4:55pm

Rajasthan Royals team departed Mumbai around 3pm by flight No G8 7078. The flight with the entire Rajasthan Royals squad faced turbulence mid-way in the sky. It was a scaring experience for all on board. Few RR players had their families accompanying them. The moment the flight landed in Kolkata airport several members of the squad became unwell.

A flight carrying the broadcasters also faced the turbulence. Former Australian opener and commentator Mathew Hayden and Hrasha Bhogle was in the same flight. Harsha tweeted as well.

The IPL 2022 PlayOffs will be played at the Eden Gardens on May 24 & 25 respectively. In the first PlayOff table toppers Gujarat Titans face Rajasthan Royals while in the Eliminator 1 , Lucknow Super Giants will take on either Delhi Capitals or Royal Challengers Bangalore.
