Glamorgan’s Sam Northeast scores record 410* in County Championships; joins Brian Lara in Elite group

Xtra Time Web Desk: Glamorgan’s Sam Northeast created a record as he scored 410* in County Championships against Leicestershire on Saturday. The 33-year-old batter joined an elite list of cricketers including legendary West Indian Brian Lara who had a highest first-class score of 501*.

Northeast is 11th cricketer to score over 400 in a first-class game and the second in this century after the legendary Brian Lara.

Lara had also smashed 400 against England back in 2004. Northeast is the ninth highest scorer in the history of first-class game. Here is the list of cricketers who scored 400 and above in first-class cricket:
