Gambhir condemns Pulwama attacks, wants to have talks with Pakistan on battlefield

XtraTime Web Desk: Gautam Gambhir, along with Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan condoled the death of 37 CRPF personnel in a major terror attack in south Kashmir’s Awantipora area on Thursday.

Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir said that “enough is enough” and that conversations have “to be in a battle ground.”


Indian skipper Virat Kohli expressed his condoled the death of CRPF jawans in Pulwama, Kashmir. Terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad has claimed responsibility for the attack while identifying the bomber as a local militant. “I’m shocked after hearing about the attack in Pulwama, heartfelt condolences to the martyred soldiers & prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured jawaans,” said.


Another former Indian opener Virender Sehwag also expressed his condolences over the death of security personnel saying “no words are enough to describe the pain”. In a tweet, he said, “Really pained by the cowardly attack on our CRPF in J&K in which our brave men have been martyred. No words are enough to describe the pain. I wish a speedy recovery to those injured.”


Suresh Raina also tweeted that,  “Appalled and deeply disturbed by the news of CRPF jawans killed in Kashmir’s Pulwama. My thoughts and prayers with the martyrs’ families..”


India’s wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, too, paid his respects to the lives lost. “The news of terrible & cowardly attack in #Pulwama has left me extremely saddened; My heart goes out to the families of martyrs, may their soul rest in peace.”

Women’s ODI team captain Mithali Raj tweeted, “As the news continues to pour in on the attack in #Pulwama yesterday, my heart goes out to the martyrs, their families, the grieving, in these days of bereavement. Deeply disturbed.”


Other sports persons like Unmukt Chand, Harbhajan Singh, Praveen Kumar boxer Vijender Singh Wrestler Sakshi Malik Table tennis player Manika Batra hockey player Rani Rampal also expressed their feeling through tweeter.
