Xtra Time Web Desk: In what comes as good news for Indian cricket fans and team management as well, pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has started bowling in the nets at the National Cricket Academy. The ace fast bowler shared an update about his fitness. He uploaded a video of him bowling at the NCA nets with a caption “Full Throttle”.
It is definitely good sign as Bumrah ix expected to be fit for the final two test matches in the series against Australia. He was not included in the first two tests against the Aussies due to stiffness in his back.
The 29-year-old has been out of action since the end of September. Bumrah, who developed a stress fracture in his back, had to miss the Asia Cup 2022 in Dubai due to injury and although he returned to play a couple of T20I matches against Australia at home, the injury re-surfaced as a result of which, he was forced to miss the T20 World Cup in Australia and the following series against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
In fact, he was included in the squad for the ODI series against Sri Lanka but he felt stiffness while bowling at the nets in Mumbai under BCCI appointed sports science expert Dr Nitin Patel.
