Former Pakistan captain Imran Khan stable after being shot in the leg

Xtra Time Web Desk: Former world cup winning Pakistan captain Imran Khan is stable after being shot in the leg on Thursday. The 70-year-old former Prime Minister of Pakistan were among four wounded during a political rally near the city of Gujranwala.

As per reports at least two alleged gunmen opened fire on the vehicle carrying Khan near the city of Gujranwala. Imran, who led Pakistan to World Cup glory back in 1992 was rushed to a hospital in Lahore for treatment.

Imran was one of the finest all-rounders to have played for Pakistan. He played 88 Tests and 175 ODIs between 1971 and 1992. He also served as Pakistan’s prime minister from August 2018 until April 2022.

When the news of his injury broke, the Pakistan men’s cricket team was facing South Africa in a T20 World Cup match at the SCG. Pakistan won the match by 33 runs via the DLS Method.
