Former Pak cricketer drags Azharuddin into knife controversy involving Younis Khan and Grant Flower

XtraTime Web Desk: Former Pakistan wicketkeeper Rashid Latif has dragged the name of former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin in the controversial incident involving Younis Khan and Grant Flower. According to Flower, who is currently the batting coach of Sri Lanka revealed in a podcast earlier that Younis Khan, who was the Pakistan captain then had held a knife to his throat during a discussion at breakfast table in Australia four years ago. Mickey Arthur, who was the coach of the Pakistan team, had to intervene.

In the latest twist to the matter, former Pakistan wicketkeeper Rashid Latif dragged Mohammad Azharuddin’s name during a YouTube show ‘Caught Behind’.

According to Latif, “Azharuddin can be a reason for the incident.”
The former Pakistan captain clarified, “In 2016, Younis made a double century at the Oval. He (Younis) did not take the name of the batting coach (Grant Flower). He said that I was struggling and talked to Azharuddin.”
