Xtra Time Web Desk: After thrashing Manchester City in the Champions League, Sporting CP's incoming boss Ruben Amorim has claimed on Tuesday, November 5 that the way they play, Manchester United cannot play.

With Victor Gyokeres scoring a hat-trick, Sporting secured a second-half comeback to beat City 4-1 at the José Alvalade Stadium. Amorim will be taking over the responsibility as the new Manchester United manager on November 11 as the incoming boss admitted that he cannot transport one reality to another and the Red Devils can't be as defensive as Sporting.

He stated, “We cannot transport one reality to another,” he said. “United cannot play the way we play, they cannot be so defensive. Of course it’s good to beat City. But I’ll be living in a different world, we’ll have to start from a different point.”

He believes there could be nothing better than leaving the job in such a way. The 39-year-old will keep his Sporting memories with him forever as he said, “I thanked everyone for the win,” he said. “If we hadn’t won the match, the moment wouldn’t be so nice. It was better with a win over City."

He further added,“I wasn’t expecting to be raised in the air, I know what I did for them, and what they did for me. I will keep these memories with me forever. The most important moment for me was when we lost 5-0 to City [two years ago] and everyone applauded."
