Xtra Time Web Desk:Carlos Alcaraz cemented his status as the king of Wimbledon with a commanding victory over Novak Djokovic in the men's singles championship match on Sunday. The 21-year-old triumphed 6-2, 6-2, 7-6(4) to defend the title he won against Djokovic in last year's final.

Despite Djokovic's impressive record as a seven-time Wimbledon champion and holder of 24 Grand Slam men's singles titles, Alcaraz set the tone from the start and maintained control throughout the match. The highly anticipated rematch saw Alcaraz showcase his dominance in front of an audience that included the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, making a public appearance amid her ongoing recovery from a cancer diagnosis revealed earlier this year.
