The Indian cricket team returned home on Thursday, July 4, via a chartered flight after being stranded in Barbados for three days due to Cyclone Beryl. Upon arrival, the Men in Blue received a rousing reception in Delhi, with fans flocking to the airport in the early hours to catch a glimpse of the World Champions. Following grand celebrations in Delhi and Mumbai, Siraj finally made his way back home to Hyderabad to be with his family.

In a touching gesture, Siraj adorned his mother with his winner’s medal and shared the heartwarming moment on Instagram with the caption 'Boss,' accompanied by several heart emojis. The post quickly went viral, with fans expressing their admiration for the cricketer’s devotion to his family.

Although Siraj only played three matches in the tournament, his contributions were vital. He picked up one wicket and maintained an impressive economy rate of 5.18. He debuted in the tournament with figures of 1/13 against Ireland, dismissing George Dockrell. He continued his form with economical spells against Pakistan (0/19 in four overs) and the USA (0/25 in four overs). However, his World Cup campaign ended prematurely after a washout against Canada, leading to his replacement by Kuldeep Yadav in the Super 8 stages.
