Xtra Time Web Desk: Former Bengal cricketer and Virat Kohli's U-18 teammate Shreevats Goswami on Thursday targeted BCCI sarcastically over 'End of Superstar Culture' plan.

There was a heavy excitement over Virat Kohli's domestic return where the DDCA officials were forced to open extra stands because of a crowd of over 10,000, that is an unknown scenario for a Ranji Trophy match.

Shreevats took X, formerly known as Twitter to share his thoughts where he wrote, "How can you end the superstar culture in India and why? Superstar brings a crowd, you have to admit. What you can end or put a check on is prima dona culture?", highlighting how Kohli's homecoming gave an unprecedented amount of attraction to a domestic game, which on a regular day cannot even attract 100 spectators.

It was never easy to handle this large crowd with such deep emotions. The situation became such that Delhi Police had resorted to a lathi charge to control the crowd at the stadium, with several people seen trying to jump over walls and gates.
