Xtra Time Web Desk: In a tragic incident related to the T20 World Cup 2024, a Pakistani YouTuber named Saad Ahmed was shot dead by a security guard in Karachi. The incident occurred on Sunday, 9 June, as Saad was interviewing people in a mobile market for his vlog in the build-up to the India vs Pakistan match held at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.

According to reports from Pakistani media, including ARY News, Saad had been taking video interviews of several shopkeepers before approaching the security guard for his views. The guard, however, was not interested in being filmed and repeatedly asked Saad to stop. When Saad persisted, the guard lost his temper and shot him. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Saad was declared dead upon arrival.

CCTV footage confirmed that there was an interaction between Saad and the guard before the shooting. The guard has been arrested, and in a statement shared on social media, he admitted to losing his temper due to Saad's insistence on filming him.
