Xtra Time Web Desk: Bengaluru FC continued their impressive run in the ISL 2024-25 season, securing a commanding 3-0 victory over Hyderabad FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on September 19. Two goals from captain Sunil Chhetri and an early strike by Rahul Bheke powered Bengaluru to their second consecutive win of the season, maintaining their perfect record with two clean sheets.

The home side started on the front foot, with skipper Rahul Bheke finding the back of the net in just the 5th minute with a powerful volley, giving Bengaluru an early advantage. Hyderabad FC, despite creating a few chances, struggled to capitalize, with Devendra Murgaokar and Abdul Rabeeh missing key opportunities.

As the match progressed, Bengaluru's dominance grew. Chhetri, brought on as a substitute in the 59th minute, made an instant impact. He doubled Bengaluru's lead in the 85th minute, converting a penalty with ease. In stoppage time, Chhetri added his second and Bengaluru’s third, sealing the match with a clinical finish.

Hyderabad FC’s defence failed to contain Bengaluru’s relentless attack, while their forward line missed several chances to get back into the game. Bengaluru FC’s possession and control throughout the match proved too much for the Nizams, who now face a tough task in their next match against Punjab FC.
