Xtra Time Web Desk: In a dramatic Euro 2024 match on 19 June, Albania held Croatia to a 2-2 draw, leaving both teams vying for progression to the knockout stage.

Klaus Gjasula salvaged a point for Albania with a last-minute equalizer in stoppage time, redeeming himself after an own goal that seemed destined to secure victory for Croatia.

Ranked 56 places below Croatia, Albania stunned spectators at Hamburg's Volksparkstadion by taking an early lead in the 11th minute with a brilliant glancing header from Qazim Laci. Spurred on by their ecstatic red-clad supporters, Albania missed several opportunities to extend their lead before Croatia mounted a second-half comeback, led by captain Luka Modric.

Andrej Kramaric brought Croatia level in the 74th minute with a low shot, and just two minutes later, Gjasula inadvertently put the ball into his own net, giving Croatia a brief advantage.

With both teams now holding one point after two games in Group B, Croatia is set to face Italy next, while Albania will take on Spain.
