ISL 2021-22: Will Roy Krishna stay with ATK MB as Fijian striker has huge offers from these two clubs
Xtra Time Web Desk: ATK Mohun Bagan’s ace striker Roy Krishna has been one of the most prolific scorers in the history of Indian Super League (ISL). The Fijian striker played a huge part in ATK lifting the ISL trophy in 2020. Roy Krishna continued his good work, as he was the top scorer for ATK Mohun Bagan in ISL last season along with Igor Angulo. He also helped the Kolkata based outfit reach the finals of ISL 2020 in Goa.
There has not been any official confirmation about the Fijian footballer staying on with ATK MB. If rumors are to be believed, Roy Krishna has offers from two heavy weight ISL clubs Mumbai City FC and FC Goa. Both the franchises have floated huge offers for the Fijian striker to have him in their side. ISL Champions Mumbai City has been in talks with Roy Krishna since the end of ISL 2020. FC Goa has recently joined the race to sign him.
Roy Krishna himself is undecided about staying for another season with the Mariners or try new challenges. Perhaps an opportunity to play in AFC Champions League with Mumbai City is keeping the striker in two minds. The Fijian striker is also in talks with two A League clubs
Meanwhile after roping in Joni Kauko of Finland, ATK Mohun Bagan have expressed their interest in another Euro Cup player, Ivan Trickovski of North Macedonia. According to sources, Mariners have approached the player's party to understand the conditions they need to fulfill to get hold of the striker. It is most likely that the club will release David Williams who have failed to live up to the expectation. Considering that Trickovski netted 16 goals for AEK Larnaca in the Cyprus top division last season makes the Skopje-born striker a good addition to the side if Roy Krishna decides to part ways with ATK MB.
