Xtra Time Web Desk: Team India’s ace batter Virat Kohli looked a lot relaxed and in jovial mood during the optional training session at Old Trafford on Saturday. He was seen heading to the practice nets immediately after the warm up sessions. He faced the likes of Avesh Khan, Shardul Thakur and Ravindra Jadeja. Kohli also took throwdowns from Raghavendra, Nuwan and Dayanand. He batted for a good forty minutes.

Later, Virat was seen giving some batting tips to Ishan Kishan as to where the youngster was going wrong while facing the short ball.

It was at this very ground Indian team under Virat Kohli had to bow out of the 2019 World Cup, losing to New Zealand in the semi-finals. Kohli, on that day failed to get going along. He will definitely like to make amends by scoring big at the venue.

According to reports, Kohli is likely to take a month’s break from cricket after the on-going series against England. The third and final ODI against England at Old Trafford will be his last assignment for the country before a month-long break.

Runs seems to have dried up for the former India captain although he is not leaving any stone unturned. He has been seen putting in that extra bit of hard work at the nets, having long chats with Team India Head Coach Rahul Dravid and batting coach Vikram Rathour. He looked good at the start of his innings in the second ODI at Lords, striking three gorgeous drives. But then he edged a delivery outside off stump from David Willey to be caught by Jos Buttler after making 16 runs from 25 balls.

It goes to be seen if Virat Kohli can bounce back to form in the decider against England on Sunday.
