Xtra Time Web Desk: All eyes were on Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel as they took part in the training session for the first time after recovering from injury. Harshal did roll his arms for a long time, but Bumrah was seen batting at the nets.

At the beginning of the practice session Head Coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma were seen giving a pep talk in the huddle. The Men in Blue need to sort out any concerns before heading to Australia for the World Cup on October 6. The upcoming six matches against world champions Australia and South Africa will provide Rohit & co a perfect practice leading to the mega event Down Under.

The Indian players were involved in a fun game with a tennis ball. The players next walked towards the net area. First to hit the nets were the three openers in the side in the likes captain Rohit Sharma, vice-captain KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. In fact, during the press conference, Rohit once again reiterated Virat will open if required during the upcoming T20 World Cup matches.

All three of them looked confident at the nets as they tried to played some attacking strokes. Umesh Yadav, who joined the team in the morning was seen bowling at the nets along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel. Bhuvi was seen bowling with a single stump in one of the adjacent nets. He was practicing bowling yorkers and was seen involved in a long chat with Paddy Upton.

Vice-Captain KL Rahul was seen having a long discussion with Head Coach Rahul Dravid and batting coach Vikram Rathour.

Interestingly Axar Patel batted along with Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant and Deepak Hooda. SKY was seen practicing hitting improvised shots at the nets.

All the three spinners Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzuvendra Chahal and Axar Patel bowled in tandem at the nets. Deepak Chahar did turn up at the practice session towards the end.

The Indian team will be having their training session in the evening on Monday under the lights. The first T20I will take place at the IS Bindra Stadium on Tuesday, September 20.
