Xtra Time Web Desk: The focus at Team India’s optional training session was stand in captain KL Rahul was seen having along discussion with Head Coach Rahul Dravid. The discussion it seemed was about the grip as Dravid was showing KL where his bottom hand will be.

Rahul was having a look at his batting visuals recorded by the video analyst. The stand in captain of the Indian team was also seen playing drives along the ground on half volleys as Vikram Rathour was throwing the ball.

Rahul is going through a lean patch of form. He failed to convert the starts in both innings in the first test at Chittagong.

The likes of Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravichandran Ashwin turned up for the practice session on Tuesday. Shreyas, who scored a brilliant 86 runs in the first innings was seen practicing against short balls. While Ravichandran Ashwin practiced playing the sweep and reverse sweeps. Shubman Gill, who scored his maiden hundred in the first test also had an extended batting session under the watchful eyes of Dravid and Rathour.

Star India batter Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant opted to skip the optional practice session along with all the bowlers who played in the first test at Chittagong.

Abhimanyu Easwaran, KS Bharat, Saurabh Kumar and Jaydev Undadkat also turned up for the optional practice session.

Having arrived in the capital city on Monday after a resounding win, the Men in Blue will aim for a whitewash. The onus will be on the likes of Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant as they eye a significant contribution in second test starting at Sher e Bangla stadium from Thursday.
