Xtra Time Web Desk: Star India batter Rohit Sharma is fit and ready to lead the Indian cricket team for the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka. The Indian captain has fully recovered from the thumb injury he suffered during the second ODI against Bangladesh last month. The injury forced him to be ruled out of the remainder of the series. But he is back to full fitness and ready to lead the Indian team in the upcoming three match ODI series against Sri Lanka.

Rohit shared a small clip of his gym session on his official Instagram handle with a caption, “Do what makes you smile”

The Indian skipper also spent some time on a vacation to the Maldives with his family. He looks refresh and recharged after the break. The star batter will be eyeing to start the New Year on a good note. The year 2022 hasn’t been great for the Mumbaikar. Overall, in 40 innings last year, Rohit scored 995 runs, failing to cross the 1000-run mark. These runs came at an average of 27.63, with six fifties. For the first time since 2012, he did not score an international century for an entire year.

With the much-needed break a fit again Rohit Sharma is ready to start 2023 with a bang.
