Internet Desk: India’s star shuttler and Rio Olympics silver medalist PV Sindhu made history today as she won the title in Korea by beating Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara in the women’s singles final at Korea Open Superseries in Seoul. This Super Series was the third title of her career and second this year. In a hard fought match of three games 22-20 11-21 21-18 Sindhu bagged the title to make her nation proud. With this win Sindhu avenged her loss from Glasgow where she lost to Okuhara in a tough three-game battle.
After her brilliant feat legendary Indian cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag and Mohammad Azharuddin took to twitter to convey their special messages to her. Among them Virender Sehwag consistently followed her journey in series as he lauded as she progressed from one round to the other.
