FIFA World Cup 2022: Kylian Mbappe drags himself into big controversy ahead of France’s final group game against Tunisia

Xtra Time Web Desk: Kylian Mbappe drags himself in big controversy ahead of France’s final group game against Tunisia. The Paris Saint Germain star has entered troubled waters with FIFA at the Qatar World Cup despite having a brilliant start to the competition for France. The 23-year-old PSG striker could now be sanctioned by FIFA after refusing to speak to the media for the second successive game at the World Cup against Denmark.

Mbappe has had a superb start in the competition after netting 3 goals in his first 2 games helping Les Bleus to qualify for the knockout stages. Mbappe had earlier refused to stop and speak to the media in the mixed zone after France’s first group game against Australia. Mbappe and the French Football Federation (FFF) are now set to be hit with a fine from FIFA following the 23-year-old’s continuous refusal to speak to the press.

The French footballer was seen training with teammates. He was spotted with a tap on his leg and was seen having a discussion with coach Didier Deschamps. Perhaps he may have a niggle.

The reigning World Champions have already sealed a spot in Round of 16. They would need a draw against Tunisia in their group league fixture at Education City stadium on Wednesday.

It will be interesting if Coach Deschamps decide to rest few of his main players ahead of the knock-out stages. The likes of Oliver Giroud, Antoine Griezmann has been in superb form so far in the World Cup in Qatar.
