Xtra Time Web Desk: England captain Harry Kane missed a penalty as the Three Lions suffered a 1-2 loss against France in the FIFA World Cup 2022 quarter-final played at the Al Bayt stadium on Saturday night. The Tottenham striker levelled the score from the penalty spot early in the second half after Aurelien Tchouameni had fired the French ahead after 17 minutes. Tchoumeni gave France the lead in the 17th minute with a stunning strike from a distance. England came close to responding minutes later, Kane forcing a fine save out of Spurs teammate Hugo Lloris, before France hacked away the loose ball after Jordan Henderson floated it to the back post.
