Xtra Time Web Desk: England registered a comfortable 3-0 win over Senegal in the FIFA World Cup 2022 pre-quarter final clash at Al Bayt stadium on Sunday night. Jordan Henderson (38′), Harry Kane (45+3′) and Bukayo Saka (57′) were on target for the Three Lions. Gareth Southgate’s side will now take on world champions France in the quarter finals.

England dominated proceedings from the start. They took the lead in the 38th minute after Jordan Henderson scored off a perfectly measured cross from Jude Bellingham.

Gareth Southgate’s side extended the lead just before the break when Bellingham launched a counter attack, which was finished off by England captain Harry Kane (45+3) for his first goal of the tournament.

The Euro 2020 runners up added another goal after the break as Bukayo Saka (57’) justified his recall to the starting XI with a deft finish to convert Phil Foden’s cross.
