Mumbai FC made three changes to the team which won against DSK Shivajians last weekend. Clifford Miranda filled in for the injured Ishfaq Ahmed, Izumi Arata and Pratik Chowdhary replaced Hitesh Sharma and Anwar Ali. Densill Theobald recovered from his injury and made his first start for the Flaming Oranje in several months. Sumeet Passi led the line for the visitors in the absence of Odafa Okolie. Sporting had the last laugh as they broke through Ndidi Chukwama who passed it for Victorino on the right. His cross found Passi inside the box whose header went into an empty net with Sawant stranded. Mumbai paid the price of their insipid display in the first half as Sporting made them pay with a clinical finish late in the tie.
