Kolkata: East Bengal team reached Kolkata today in the morning after playing against Shillong Lajong FC which they lost 2-1 in the Federation Cup on Sunday.

Abinash Ruidas who suffered a nose injury in the match on Sunday was taken to the hospital for treatment directly from the airport where it was found that he has a fracture in his nose. The doctors advised him for a one week rest and it is likely that the Red and Golds will miss the services of Ruidas now after Cavin Lobo, Bikash Jairu and Robert had already been ruled out earlier due to injury.

East Bengal will also miss the service of Bernard Mendy in the second leg against Shillong Lajong FC too due to hamstring injury. Trevor Morgan was quoted as saying,” We will miss a lot of players in the second leg too. But we have to fight with whatever resources we have. I am not here to give any excuses.”

On the loss against Shillong Lajong yesterday, Trevor said,” Yes it was an unfortunate loss. But we have an advantage of one away goal which we are taking as a positive.”
