FA Cup: Aubameyang double helps Arsenal beat Chelsea for 14th title win

XtraTime Web Desk: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored two goals for his side as Arsenal came from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 in the final and won their 14th FA Cup title at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday. Co incidentally in their last meeting against Chelsea, The Gunners had beaten Chelsea 2-1 when they last bagged the A Cup under Arsene Wenger three years ago.

With this win they have booked their spot in the next season’s UEFA Europa League. Christian Pulisic had given Chelsea the dream start, but the Blues’ unravelled after Aubameyang was brought down by Cesar Azpilicueta inside the area and converted the resulting penalty. Aubameyang then scored in the 67th minute to put Arsenal ahead, which proved to be enough for the gunners to storm to the title. Worse was to come for Lampard’s men when Kovacic was inexplicably sent off for the slightest touch on Granit Xhaka, but Anthony Taylor’s decision could not be reviewed by VAR as it was a second bookable offence.
