Exclusive: When will Enrique Esqueda be available to make his return for East Bengal?

Suman Chakravorty:
He was expected to be the main attacking spearhead for Quess East Bengal FC this season. Unfortunately, the rib injury had sidelined Enrique Esqueda for a duration when his team needed his service the most. Though, some good news is on the way for the Red and Gold fans, as the Mexican is getting ready with his complete fitness and will be playing in the return leg of the Kolkata derby at the Salt Lake Stadium on the 27th January.

The Mexican is having his rehab back in his country and is expected to be landing at Kolkata before 20th January. In an interaction with www.xtratime.in, club CEO Sanjit Sen told, “Yes, he is getting his full fitness and we are expecting his arrival by 18th or 20th of this month. He is coming well before the derby and will be playing the crucial game against Mohun Bagan.”

No doubt, Enrique’s availability would be a huge boost for Quess East Bengal and could turn out to be a significant force for the club in their chase for the title. He had already scored 3 goals before he got injured this season.
