Exclusive: Warner’s fierce strike injures Indian origin fast bowler! What happened then?

Debasis Sen, London: The shadow of the ill-fated incident Phil Hughes returned to the Aussie nets as a local Indian origin net bowler name Jai Kishan had to be taken to the nearby hospital after being struck in the forehead by a David Warner shot in Australia’s training at The Oval.

David Warner and Glenn Maxwell were batting in a net ahead of Sunday’s match and Warner’s fierce strike struck a net bowler.

The ball struck the bowler in the forehead.

He went to ground immediately and required urgent medical assistance as he became senseless.

The Australian team management of Ricky  Ponting and the physio showed immediate concern for the bowler, with training stopped for a while. David Warner too seemed to be lost in the shocking memories of his former teammate Phil Hughes.

Warner was seen consoled by assistant coach Ricky Ponting before he resumed his batting.

The bowler got back his sense after a few seconds before becoming senseless. But the body-language of Warner seemed to be not good at all as he was frightened by the unintentional blow to the lad.
