XtraTime Web Desk:
Indian cricket in front of a historic moment, as The Board of Control for Cricket in India (The BCCI) to commence Exhibition matches for Women in the next month at Jaipur.

Confirmed sources told www.xtratime.in, that during the day-offs of the playoff stage of this IPL season, the BCCI will start the Women’s Exhibition matches with three teams initially. This year the tournament will be an exhibition one with the 25 contracted women cricketers of The BCCI like Jhulan Goswami, Mithali Raj, Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur and the star women foreign cricketers across the top cricket playing nations.

The Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur will be hosting the women’s T20 exhibition matches from May 6-10. There will be a total of four games, featuring three teams — Supernovas, Trailblazers and Velocity. The three teams will square off against each other in a round-robin league before heading to the final.

Sources have also revealed XtraTime that from the next year it will be played among six B-Town cities of the country in the same format like the men’s IPL. It is learned that the women cricketers predominantly told the board that the tournament would be more popular if it is being played in the cities where there is not much IPL cricket on offer.
