Exclusive: Massive move! ATK on advanced talks with India’s marquee defender

Suman Chakravorty: The Kolkata giants Quess East Bengal and Mohun Bagan had tried him to sign for them since he appeared to be the main stay of defence in the Indian National Team for a long time. Right when the buzz has been going on surrounding Sandesh Jhingan of joining some foreign clubs after the impressive performances in the AFC Asian Cup in The UAE, the ATK officials had silently started the operation to sign India’s costliest defender.

As per confirmed sources, the ATK officials tried to sign him in the January window only, but his present club Kerala Blasters FC came into the way and didn’t give him the release to join the Kolkata outfit in the winter transfer window.

Though sources close to the club as well as the player have confirmed www.xtratime.in that Sandesh Jhingan has agreed personal terms and in advanced talks to sign in the next transfer window in June.
