Ex BCCI President Sourav Ganguly makes a surprise visit to Nabanna to meet WB Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee

Xtra Time Web Desk: Former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly met the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Nabanna on Monday. The meeting between Sourav and Mamata lasted for 10 minutes after which the two were seen leaving the state secretariat.

It is not yet known what exactly was the reason for Sourav to meet the Chief Minister. According to close sources the former India captain is planning to start something new in the state.

Sourav was recently made the Director of Cricket at Delhi Capitals. He will be seen back in the Indian Premier League with the Delhi based franchise. The left hander will have a major say in important cricketing decisions of DC. The first and foremost will be select a new captain for the franchise after Rishabh Pant is ruled out of IPL 2023. Pant made a horrific accident on December 30 and underwent an operation in his knee ligament. Australian opener David Warner is being tipped to replace Pant as captain.
