XtraTime Web Desk: The executive committee of East Bengal club met for the first time post the lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic. The committee members were seen strictly observing the health protocols by maintaining social distancing during the meeting. The club obtained the necessary permission from the army to open the club tent after almost three months. Surprisingly though everything was discussed in the meeting except football affairs. One of the members did try to raise the issue but he was stopped from doing so. He was told that the football matters cannot be discussed in the meeting.

Although all the top officials of the club attended the meeting, club secretary Kalyan Majumder was unable to attend citing personal reasons.
The members unanimously decided not to discuss anything on the football affairs and they have logic in it as the club is yet to obtain the sporting rights from Quess Corp, the erstwhile investors of the club. It is learnt that the financial aspects was discussed in the meeting as to how to run the club in the present situation as Quess have parted ways. There are only a handful of members who provides financial support to the club.
The club has arranged a press conference on Thursday. It is about the initiative that the club has taken in order to commemorate the centenary celebrations. The club is going to provide hand sanitizers and masks with the centenary logo of the club. It will be formally inaugurated by the State Sports Minister Arup Biswas.
