EPL: Pogba’s goal against Burnley helped Manchester United move top of the table

XtraTime Web Desk – After a lot of struggle in the initial months of th season, Manchester United has made a strong comeback and sent a statement that they are now ready for any challenge.

United faced Burnley at Turf Moor on Tuesday and Paul Pogba’s solo goal helped the team get all three points and move to the top of the table. They are 3 points clear from Liverpool after 17 games.

Paul Pogba’s future at Manchester United is still not secured. His agent has been talking to few different clubs for sometime now. Amidst all these, the Frenchman is showing absolute professionalism and playing a key part in Manu’s midfield. If the Frenchman keeps on stepping up, he can Bruno Fernandes can write history for United.

Burnley was unbeaten at their home since last October. Thus, beating them at home was special and proves how determined they are to bag the title after 7 years.

United could’ve scored more but Edinson Cavani missed two big opportunities in the second half. Just after that, Pogba’s volley from Marcus Rashford’s cross secured all three points for Manchester United.

In other matches, Everton beat Wolves 2-1 and moved to 4th place while Sheffield United won their first game of the season as they beat Newcastle United 1-0.
