Xtra Time Web Desk: An unbeaten debut hundred from Devon Conway (136*) saw BlackCaps end Day 1 of Lords test against England on top. The visitors scored 246/3 at stumps on Day 1. South African born Conway is now the sixth batsman to score a hundred on debut at the Home of Cricket. Another debutant Ollie Robinson was impressive too for England, picking two wickets. Conway shared an unbeaten partnership of 132 runs with Henry Nicholls who scored a gritty 46 off 149 balls.

England went into the match with four pacers with two war horses James Anderson and Stuart Broad playing together. Anderson picked the crucial wicket of New Zealand captain Kane Williamson as he dragged a ball back onto his stumps. It was his 615th Test wicket. He also equaled Sir Alastair Cook's record of playing in 161 Tests for England.

Conway completed his hundred off 163-balls which included 14 hits to the fence.

Fans returned to the Lords for first time since September 2019.
